Mungkin betul apa yang tertera dalam bentuk grafitty di mana-mana "Punk Is NotDead". Punk memang belum mati dan gak ada matinye. Sudah banyak kita denger parapunk revivalist yang menyeruak tegar dengan album-albumnya, termasuk diantaranya Panic At The Disco, kelompok pengusung "emo" atau mungkin lebih tepat disebut pop-punk. Dan kalo anda tidak menyukai vokalis yang kelewat ekspresif atau tidak menyukai mengernyitkan dahi lantaran barisan lirik lagunya terlalu personal. Maka album ini sudah seharusnya anda singkirkan jauh-jauh. Karena anda akan panik jika menyimaknya. Tapi mereka tetap cerdik mengatur lalu-lintas bunyi. Walau bunyi-bunyi pun tidak berposisi sebagai panglima. Panic At The Disco adalah kuartet asal Las Vegas yang terdiri atas Ryan Ross(gitar,dia juga yang menulis lagu-lagunya), Brendan Urie (vokal,gitar), SpencerSmith (drum) dan Brent Wilson (bas). Gamblang, lugas dan apa adanya, itulah lirik yang dituangkan dalam sebagian repertoir di debut album Panic At The Disco yang berkesan naratif.
